Terms of Use
Last updated 12 October 2026
The Insulin Pal iOS app and this website, https://insulinpal.app, are operated by KITA DIMENSIJA, MB, company code 308102704, registered at M. Zdziechovskio g. 21, Vilnius, LT-14201, Lithuania ("we"). You accept these terms when you continue past the consent screen in the app, which links to them, and by using the website. If the terms change in a way that matters, the app will ask you to accept them again before you continue.
What Insulin Pal is
Insulin Pal is a logging and visualization tool for people who take insulin. It shows estimates based on the doses you enter. It does not calculate, recommend, or adjust doses, and it is not a substitute for guidance from your care team. It is not a medical device and has not been reviewed by any regulator. Please read the Medical Disclaimer; it is part of these terms.
Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Before you sign in, the app asks you to confirm this, and on recent versions of iOS it also uses Apple's age check if you choose to share it; we never ask for your date of birth. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older.
Your account
You sign in with your email address (using a one-time code), or with Apple or Google. The account is yours alone: keep the email inbox it is tied to secure, and do not share sign-in codes with anyone. You are responsible for what happens under your account. One person, one account.
Subscription and free trial
Insulin Pal is a paid app. New subscribers can start with a free trial (one free trial per Apple Account); after it, you need an active subscription (yearly or monthly) to keep using the app. The current prices, trial length and plans are shown in the app before you buy.
All purchases are made through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You can cancel at any time in your Apple ID settings; the subscription stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. If a price changes, Apple will tell you in advance and, where required, ask for your consent.
If your subscription ends, the app shows the subscription screen again. Your account and dose history are kept, and you can export or delete them from the app at any time.
Your data
What we store and how we handle it is described in the Privacy Policy. In short: your doses and settings are saved on your iPhone and backed up to your account so they follow you across devices. You can export them as a file, and you can delete your account, together with everything in it, from Settings.
Keeping the app up to date
We may occasionally require an update before the app can be used, for example to fix a bug that could show wrong numbers. When that happens, the app tells you and points you to the App Store. Logged doses stay on your phone. Some features need a connection to our servers and may be unavailable during maintenance; logging keeps working on the phone.
Acceptable use
Do not try to access other people's accounts or data, interfere with our servers, or use the app in a way that breaks the law. We may close an account that does.
Intellectual property
The Insulin Pal name, logo, design, app and the content of this website belong to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, as allowed by the Usage Rules in Apple's App Store Terms of Service (which also let other accounts in your Family Sharing group use it, where available). We grant nothing beyond that. Please do not copy, resell or reuse the app or our materials without our written permission.
No warranties and limits on liability
The app and the website are provided "as is". Estimates in the app depend entirely on what you enter and can be wrong. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app or the website, or from relying on anything shown in them. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending the agreement
You can stop at any time by deleting your account in the app. We may suspend or close an account for a serious breach of these terms, and we may stop offering the app altogether; if we do, we will give reasonable notice and you will be able to export your data first.
Apple
You got the app from Apple's App Store, so a few points apply between you, us and Apple:
- These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the app and its content.
- Support and maintenance come from us (Support). Apple has no obligation to provide any support or maintenance for the app.
- If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies by law, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price you paid for it, if any. To the extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app; any other claims, losses or costs caused by such a failure are our responsibility, within the limits of these terms.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for handling any claims by you or anyone else relating to the app or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
- If anyone claims that the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for investigating, defending, settling and resolving that claim.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as "terrorist supporting", and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- When you use the app, you must also follow the terms of any other service you use with it, such as your mobile carrier or internet provider.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Once you accept them, Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page, with the date of the last update at the top. If a change affects how you use the app, the app will ask you to accept the new terms before you continue.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, and any disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Lithuania, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections you have where you live.
